10 Badass Dressy Jumpsuits

Last week at Mom 2.0 Summit I wore a couple of jumpsuits and I am not overstating things when I say that people FREAKED OUT ABOUT THEM. My friends were so kind, but then also people I didn’t know came up to me to talk about my outfits. Which turned out to be great, because I had a goal of meeting 50 new people at this conference!

I think the freak out was all about cut and especially color. It’s taken me a while to figure out my style…I used to stick to neutrals because they were safe and I figured, hey, easier to mix and match! But over the years I have realized that colorful clothing makes me really, really happy—as in, it actually changes how I carry myself and how I feel! This year I have been on a mission to only add color if I’m adding to my closet and it’s been awesome.

Anyway, given the response last week, I figured it would be fun to do a roundup of badass dressy jumpsuits; the roundup is ordered from lowest to highest price and it’s kind of hilarious to see my photos mixed with the professional models, but this way you can see my jumpsuits in action! I will say that the major downside of jumpsuits is the peeing situation. However, like dresses, jumpsuits do have the benefit of requiring zero brain power when it comes to coordinating + you don’t have to shave your legs. See? I’m always thinking.

6. Natalie Jumpsuit ($180 at Boden)

So I was actually a little nervous about this Natalie Jumpsuit from Boden because I wasn't sure the blouse-y style would work on me but MAN, it felt like wearing PJs, it has pockets, the color and embroidery are gorgeous, and people were FREAKING OUT ABOUT IT.

7. Mila Jumpsuit ($180 at Boden)

OK, the yellow stripes on this Mila Jumpsuit might seem a little crazy but that’s why it is so dang awesome. This jumpsuit also comes in green, which for some reason looks a little clown-ish to me, whereas I am here for the yellow!
