9 Favorite Eye Creams

Crowdsourcing is my favorite (I am fortunate to have smart, responsive friends!). I recently posted the following query on social media: “Critically important Friday query: Talk to me about eye creams you use that actually work. Dark circles don't concern me as much because hello concealer, but the annoying irony of being an aging Asian lady is that I have no eyelids, yet now I am developing a wrinkle/crease/crepe situation on the inner side of each eye. Which might look OK if I actually had eyelids but since I don't, it just looks kind of weird.

The responses were so helpful and I am seriously excited to work my way through this list and try everything! And in case you've been looking for eye creams to try, I decided to compile a list. This list of 9 favorite eye creams is handily organized based on cost (price/ounce at the time of publishing...because NERD ALERT and I am really into knowing cost breakdowns) and includes commentary from me + direct quotes from the people who made the recommendations. Happy eye cream hunting! If there are products you love missing from this list, I'd love to hear about them in the comments at the bottom of this post!

1. ETUDE HOUSE Moistfull Collagen Eye Cream ($12.97/0.94 oz)

OK, so not only is this the least expensive in the roundup (which I did not realize until I did the cost per ounce breakdown!) but as soon as I saw the Korean characters on this ETUDE HOUSE Moistfull Collagen Eye Cream (recommended by one friend) I was like, “OMG I gotta try this soon!” Korean skin care products are a thing, you guys!

2. Coffee Bean Caffeine Eye Cream from 100% Pure ($24.70/1.0 oz)

My delightfully beauty-product-obsessed friends Stefania and Cat of Clever Girls Collective recommended Coffee Bean Caffeine Eye Cream from 100% Pure. Stefania shared, “This is a great product for puffiness and dark circles (which is my issue even with concealer), and it’s also anti-aging and hydrating. It’s always on those 'top beauty products on Amazon' lists and it’s cheap (as far as these things go)!” And Cat shared, “Added bonus, if you like these scents, it smells kind of cocoa buttery.”

3. RoC® Retinol Correxion® Eye Cream ($14.31/0.5 oz)

Lindsay of Suburban Turmoil said of the RoC® Retinol Correxion® Eye Cream, “I have used ROC religiously for years, ever since reading a study that found it works far better than much more expensive eye creams. I have no eye wrinkles at 42, so I’m a total believer! And between coupons and sales, I almost never pay more than $12 for it.”

5. Bobbi Brown Hydrating Eye Cream ($53.96/0.5 oz)

Whitney of Mommies With Style shared of the Bobbi Brown Hydrating Eye Cream, “I've been using this one from Bobbi Brown for the last few months... I got a sample of it in a Nordstrom order and was hooked. Not cheap but I've been using it a few months and barely made a dent so I think it'll last awhile.”

6. Beautycounter Rejuvenating Eye Cream ($60/0.5 oz)

My friend Emily is a Beautycounter seller and had this to say about the Beautycounter Rejuvenating Eye Cream, “LOVE the anti-aging eye cream from Beautycounter. It works, and you don't have to worry about what chemicals you are putting on your body.” Emily kindly sent me this cream to try out and I have just started using it (FINGERS CROSSED!).

7. Rodan + Fields Redefine Eye Cream ($62/0.5 oz)

OK there was some serious, repeat props given to the Rodan + Fields Redefine Eye Cream. Eight people weighed in with praise! The link here is for my friend Eve’s shop...after seeing all the chatter about this product I immediately bought it and will start trying it after I finish the Beautycounter product. Some of the comments included: “The Redefine Eye Cream is legit! Lasts about 4 months, guaranteed results or your money back.” “I don't sell RF, and everything I've ever used from them (except for the lash growth, which irritated my skin) really works. It's expensive but excellent.” “I've been using it for over a year (as well as the regimens) and LOVE it.”

8. SHISEIDO Future Solution LX Eye and Lip Contour Regenerating Cream $72.58/0.54 oz)

Grace of Hapa Mama recommends the SHISEIDO Future Solution LX Eye and Lip Contour Regenerating Cream, saying “It depends on what your skin is like. For me, I have massive dryness and tightness so basically I want something that will hold moisture in and not be overly greasy.”

9. Neocutis Lumiere Eye Cream ($97/0.5 oz)

Finally, I wanted to mention the Neocutis Lumiere Eye Cream. I had this cream in my notes because it was recommended in InStyle’s recent Best Beauty Buys roundup so I was initially curious, but given that it’s the most expensive and wasn’t directly recommended by a friend, I will prioritize the above picks first!
