For standard right sidebar placement (shown on every page), we use Blogads. You may choose 1 week ($25), 2 week ($40), 1 month ($70), or 3 month ($175) spots with a maximum image size of 150x200 pixels and 16 KB jpg/gif. You also may include a maximum of 300 characters of text. Click here to place your ad.
In addition to right sidebar placement, we offer a variety of a la carte options to help you create an effective promotional campaign. E-mail us to learn about alternative placement/sponsorship options (e.g., leaderboard and skyscraper units, newsletter sponsorship, etc.). We also welcome targeted sponsorship RFPs.
Product Reviews
We love hearing about the latest, coolest products for mamas and babes (and dads too!). Due to the high volume of requests to review products and the select space we allocate to reviews (given the diversity of content the site provides), we ask that vendors kindly review the below protocol.
First, please note that editorial space on Boston Mamas is never for sale, and we do not feature products unless we have tested and evaluated them ourselves. Thus, submissions are mandatory; we do not do blind reviews, products will not be returned, and submitting a product doesn’t guarantee inclusion on our site (our below pre-screening process for "potential review" products has, however, rendered a good hit rate for editorial feature).
1. Send an e-mail inquiry regarding the product you would like to submit for consideration. Include the product URL (items must be able to be purchased online).
2. We will review your online material (hopefully between 3-5 business days), and your request will be designated either to potential review or alternative placement (e.g., ads). We conduct this preliminary online review to best serve our potential vendors' efforts and resources. Please be aware that the look of your website matters! Sites that are aesthetically pleasing, simple to navigate, and have clear product shots will be more likely invited to submit a product for review.
3. If your product is designated for alternative placement we will follow up with placement options.
4. If your product is designated for potential review we will send shipping information. Along with your product, include your company name and URL, the name of your product(s), pricing information, and any discount codes you would like to offer to our readers. Exclusive discount codes (e.g., "BOSTONMAMAS") will be included in our newsletter (1x) and on our shopping page.
5. Products are placed in our review queue on receipt; please hold off on checking in on the status of your review until at least 3 weeks following submission.
Website Reviews
If you have a website that offers a service to readers (e.g., parenting classifieds) and wish to have the site reviewed on Boston Mamas, e-mail us the URL and your pitch. We will follow up with placement options.
Please note that we do not do blanket boutique features. If you are an online retailer who wishes to promote your boutique, please consider the advertisement placement or product review options above.
