18 Fun Weekend Picks

green-briar-nature-center.JPGHappy Friday everyone -- I hope you've been enjoying a wonderful week and are looking forward to a great weekend! In Minimalist Parenting fashion, I've been working on leaving as much open space as possible in our schedules to allow for fun and spontaneity. And in advance of the openness of last weekend, Jon, Laurel, and I each tossed out a couple of things we thought would be fun to have happen over the weekend (e.g., runs, cooking, play dates) and committed to making sure each person was able to do at least one of their desired things. The approach has worked out beautifully -- I highly recommend you try it! Meanwhile, if you're looking for something fun to do this weekend, here are 18 event picks for your consideration:
