Weekly Blueprint

mother-daughter-rabbits.jpgHappy Monday everyone -- I hope you had a wonderful weekend! Laurel and I had an amazing Friday off (I hope to post pictures from our adventures soon at Pop Discourse...Laurel created some beautiful paper egg collages and piped cakes!) and otherwise we enjoyed a low key weekend, mojo marred only slightly by the pesky taxes that need to get done. Anyway, I hope you're gearing up for a wonderful week -- can you believe we're almost to April vacation? I hope to do an April vacation event roundup if you want to submit awesome ideas. Meanwhile, here are some fun events and interesting reading to consider in this week's Weekly Blueprint:
April 10: Explore vernal pools.

April 10: Hear a fable, design a suspension bridge.

April 12: Rabbit tales and adventures.

April 12: Celebrate the earth and explore sustainability.

April 13: Put this ToyLab to the test.

And for your consideration around the web:

  • A couple of giveaways here: of course you want to enter to win this amazing $100 Pinhole Press giveaway (entry closes Tuesday at noon)? Also, I'm giving away a 4-pk of tickets to Sesame Street Live -- perfect for Elmo fans of all ages (entry closes Thursday at noon). Good luck!

  • My peeps at Boston Parents Paper are taking nominations for their Family Favorite Awards. Hop on over and nominate some of your local faves and you'll be entered to win a two-night vacation in June.

  • Here's a great wrap up of the conversation about women and time that I co-hosted with Ellen Galinsky (Familes & Work Institute) and Kristin van Ogtrop (Real Simple).

  • Tis' the season for kale chips.

  • This texts from Hillary Clinton site made me particularly proud to have been a White House intern in the Office of the First Lady during the Clinton administration (I literally was laughing so hard I cried at some of the posts).

  • Simple (much needed) tips for tax-time organization.
