Mahler Triumphant!

boston-philharmonic.jpgI first discovered Mahler in high school (thanks to one of my fantastic music teachers, who lived and breathed the composer). I was blown away by both the music and the sheer joy my teacher evidenced in sharing this composer with his students. And whether you wish to immerse yourself in and/or share Mahler's brilliance with your family, Benjamin Zander and the Boston Philharmonic will close their season with three performances of Mahler's Symphony No. 7 (April 26-29). The work is described as "a modern piece that has become known as one of Mahler's supreme achievements and a favorite among his works." And how cool is this?
