Good morning friends -- I hope you had a great weekend! For the first time in what seems to be a long time, we found the perfect blend of relaxed family time, focused grownup conversation time, new adventures (roller skating!), reconnecting with old friends, taking care of household chores, and even some work time for me. It sounds like a lot but weirdly, it all came together in a very easy way and didn't ever feel as if we were pushing too hard. I need to bottle up whatever it was we did to make that happen! Meanwhile, I hope you're gearing up for a great week -- here are some handy/fun ideas to consider in this week's Weekly Blueprint:
March 12: Can you steal away for this evening's Middle Eastern music festival?
March 13: Learn to make your own lollipops.
March 14: Celebrate 3.14.
March 15: Learn mealtime makeover tricks from the pros.
March 16: Make your own bread and butter. Yum.
March 16-18: Support young thespians in this production of Cinderella.
At your leisure: Try making butter. Laurel and I had such fun with this absurdly easy and fun food science project! She made four little batches yesterday (the equivalent of one pint of heavy cream) and now wants to be in charge of making the spreadable butter (vs. the sticks we need for baking) in our house. So sweet.
At your leisure: Refresh your family photos. I am determined to get photos of Vi on our walls before her first birthday this coming weekend! I'm using this method to create a photo and mirror gallery on our living room wall.
At your leisure: Ponder lighting. Since Vi is mobile and into everything, this hanging drum shades roundup caught my eye -- no floor cords to yank!
At your leisure: If you're in a partnership, give it some TLC. Jon and I are much in need of a little getaway. I've been perusing this local spa getaways post to plan a one or two night getaway for us now that I'm done nursing.
At your leisure: Download some of these free spring and St. Patrick's Day printables.
At your leisure: Give your lips a little TLC with this homemade lip scrub.
At your leisure: Feeling crafty? Try these angry birds.
