Weekly Blueprint

sweetney-macarons.jpgHappy Monday everyone -- I hope you enjoyed lots of time outside during the glorious weekend (a stark contrast to today...)! I'm in Washington, DC right now for a short client-related trip and will head home later today, and I'm feeling quite nostalgic being here. I first spent time in the DC area back during college when I served as a White House intern, and then lived just outside the District when Jon was in graduate school. I wish I was here for longer to walk around and soak everything in but I'm thinking it would be fun to visit as a family sometime soon. Meanwhile, I hope you're all getting ready for a great week. Here are some handy/fun ideas to consider in this week's Weekly Blueprint:

May 21: All about frogs and toads.

May 21: Yoga and mandala making.

May 22: Recycle and create.

May 24: Channel your inner (or outer) super hero.

May 24: A milk-tastic event.

May 24-28: Memorial Day observances in Boston.

And a few other things:

  • Asha and I have done a colossal amount of writing and now we're ready to add your nuggets of wisdom to Minimalist Parenting! Share your brilliance about budgeting, co-parenting, decluttering, and/or your learning memories and you may be quoted in the book!

  • OMG I want to make these macarons -- I love the blue and green ones! And also the one shown above of course.

  • A 5K or 2K to benefit pediatric cancer care and research.

  • Because of course dads can totally rock it.

  • My friend Gabrielle has a lovely new video series called Olive Us. So delightful. So refreshing. So want to hang with her and her kids soon.

  • Take a stand to prevent child hunger.

  • And some recent great reading: Learn how to attract hummingbirds and cope with anxious kids. Have you visited this adorable art studio yet? Or entered to win one of these three play packs?

Thank you. Being relatively new to the Boston area and having two children ages 5 and 3 at home with me, these weekly blueprints and the weekend picks are such a blessing.
