Weekly Blueprint

nantucket-daffodil-festival.jpgHappy Monday everyone -- I hope you had a relaxing weekend and April vacation (if your kids were off last week)! We had a lovely week but I'm also happily ready to get back into the swing of things with work this week. I'm even happy about all of this rain since it will help along the flower bulbs Laurel and I planted during the break. Anyway, there's lots of great stuff going on around town this week. Here's a roundup of fun events + some handy/interesting/pay it forward ideas to consider in this week's Weekly Blueprint:

Now through April 29: Free admission for all national parks in honor of National Park Week.

Now through April 29: Plenty of science still to be had.

April 23-May 11: Purge and donate to this Earth Day clothing drive.

April 26-28: An arts festival at Boston College.

April 26-29: And also at Brandeis.

April 26-29: And at Harvard too!

April 27: What's cuter than farm babies?

April 27-28: Enjoy the beauty of the dulcimer.

April 27-28: For Billy Jonas fans. (Thanks to my friend Sue for this lead!)

April 27-29: Consign away your kid clutter.

April 27-29: Daffodils as far as the eye can see.

April 27-29: Melrose replete with art.

April 27 - May 6: Perfect for those who love jazz.

And some interesting things around the web:

  • A handy online calculator for those who, like me, are stumped when it comes to determining how many cubic feet of mulch you need for the garden. (Thanks to my friend Luke for the lead!) I used Task Rabbit this weekend to help get the mulch from Home Depot to my house -- yay!

  • My talented friend Erin is launching Design for Mini Kind today -- she has spectacular taste so be sure to check it out.

  • This weekend I finally got my hair cut. If you need an awesome cut/color person, look no further than my talented friend Honey Jo.

  • Sweet. I just learned about this free electronics recycling program via HP and Staples. I totally need to do this.

  • ONE Moms departed for Ghana yesterday. Follow along on the journey.

  • I love the mission of the Women's Craft Cooperative at Rosie's Place in Boston. For a tribute donation of $65, send a limited edition Mother's Day necklace.

  • Consider donating diapers or money to help a mother out (they benefit one Massachusetts location among others across the country).
