Birthday Giveaway: vianne chocolat
I love fine chocolate and I love all things local so I was thrilled to learn about vianne chocolat, a new Boston-based source for handmade artisan chocolates. Passionate about sourcing local whenever possible, chocolatier Valerie Conyngham uses cream, butter, and jams from New England farms, and spices from independent local spice purveyors to create a delightful variety of chocolates for gifting, home parties, special occasions, and corporate events. And as part of my Boston Mamas Fourth Birthday Giveaway Series, vianne chocolat generously is gifting one lucky winner with a vianne chocolat canvas tote + assortment of 50 chocolates! Simply check out the rules below and leave a comment on this giveaway by Friday, July 9, to enter to win.

Vianne's Chocolat chocolates look almost too good to eat! (But I'm sure I'd manage if I won.) Thanks for the chance!

My new mama brain isn't working so well these days, but it sure lit up at the idea of these beautifully decadent chocolates! Kudos to Valerie on a great idea with impeccable execution!
Now...how to drop hints to friends who ask what a new mom needs??

I found descriptions of a few of their chocolates, but I wish they had more information on the others. My husband has some food allergies and sensitivities; for example he can't eat coconut, which is featured in several of the Vianne Chocolates. I'd love to try the Almond Butter and maybe the Dark Chocolate Truffle varieties.

Local ingredients? Absinthe? What more could I ask for in a fine chocolate--especially for a much-needed pick-me-up!

I discovered that March 26, 2010 is when Vianne Chocolate was established. Fascinating that it's such a young company.

More to think about is the favors for our wedding. I like the idea (thanks to Cary's photo) about the pictured: wedding favors; six pieces of chocolate in a white box with two shades of pink ribbon and sealed with a traditional wax seal with the couples new shared initial.

EMAIL ME PLEASE, why I was excluded from this giveaway? My comment, as I was notified was waiting for moderation, never made it into this contest, and I'm really questioning why not?
