Great American Backyard Campout
During April vacation, I posted a series of ideas to help encourage families to get outside together. And today I wanted to share a fun upcoming initiative per my role as a founding mother for the National Wildlife Federation. This Saturday (June 26), the NWF is hosting their Great American Backyard Campout -- an event designed to inspire families to get back to nature together. Whether you enjoy a campout in your backyard or register to participate at a campsite near you, it will be a super fun way to kick off summer. And whatever you do, don't forget the s'mores.

We're all ready! Tent's out. S'more pieces parts in the kitchen. Just trying to figure out how to beat the heat down here in Texas!

About to send out the invite to friends and neighbors for a night of s'mores, flashlight tag, and watching the stars in our backyard! Hopefully the weather will hold in Massachusetts.

We're ready too and can't wait!!!! My kids are hoping that Saturday will be just the start and we'll be doing this all summer. Hoping the weather holds here in NY too!
