Flowers for Mom
Yesterday, I was honored to be featured as a do-it-all mom in the 1-800-FLOWERS Spot A Mom interview series. It was fun to answer a few reflective questions about motherhood, and I thought interviewer (and floral lifestyle expert) Julie Mulligan was spot on with this pretty and peaceful orchid arrangement she proposed for me. 1-800-FLOWERS also was kind enough to offer to send me flowers (which I asked be sent to my mom...she was thrilled!), and also share a $75 gift certificate + a copy of Celebrating Mom with one of you fabulous readers. Simply leave a comment below about this giveaway by midnight, May 3, 2010 to enter to win.

In my opinion, Moms are the hardest working people on the planet. We raise the next generation, we care for our families, a LOT of us are in the workforce, and on top of it all - we also have to care for ourselves. We should recognize not only our moms for their love, support and encouragement they have provided to us, but also realize that we're pretty freaking amazing people too!

Mom loves flowers (who doesn't) but I try to get her uncut/potted ones so she'll have them longer. Some just don't seem to grow in her house, while others she'll keep alive decades!

Congratulations to you and Happy Mother's Day! I'm the Mom of two grown (and married) "children," and the grandmother of two precious little girls, ages 3 and 7. They are the joy of my life.
Both of my parents are gone now, but I would give anything to be with my Mom just one more time for her Birthday and Mother's Day..both in May.
I'd love some flowers to bring to the mausoleum where my parents are laid to rest.

Since I have 2 daughters and no mother, I would enjoy getting those roses. They are beautiful. And chocolates TOO?? Wonderful!
Both my girls have helped me through a bad time, these past weeks. I cannot send to ONE without sending to the other gal. So yes, send them to me???

I think of my husbands great-grandmother Geri Lynn as my mom. She is the most amazing women in the entire world. She is so thoughtful and selfless and give the best advice. I would love to win this for her this mothers day. As she has taught me to be a great mother to my three children.

Thanks for the wonderful giveaway opportunity! I am of the firm opinion that nothing says it better than flowers, although may be a bit biased as have worked as novice florist - and loved it!
The most important thing I learned from my mother was the importance of patience. Unless your child is in imminent danger, nearly all issues are best served with a healthy dose of patience. It's a lesson I do my best to utilize DAILY with my 14 yr old - going on 25yr old - daughter!
