Multifunctional Modern Mix
Jon and I are all about everyday teaching moments with Laurel, apparently even when it comes to assembling a FLOR rug. We recently installed Modern Mix Tan in our sitting nook -- I adore how the Modern Mix collection offers pattern through tonal variations while remaining neutral enough to go with anything else -- and the process quickly evolved into a game for Laurel. The set comes with a 6 x 5 matrix recommending tile color placement for the 4 tile shades (we simply followed a 3 x 4 section of the matrix for our 5’ x 7’ rug), and the tan variations had the yummy names bran, honey wheat, sourdough, and rye. Laurel found this hilarious and immediately set to task sorting the tiles by grain name then arranging the tiles based on the matrix (an impromptu game of memory to remember which grain went with which matrix number...). You just can’t beat unexpectedly family friendly home improvement projects that yield a cozy and warm space for more fun and games.

I love "Walk the Line" in Truffle.

How to choose just one FLOR rug?! They are all so cool! I have a few FLOR tiles in my son's play area, and they wear like iron. Amazing stuff! I would love the Outdoor 1 Rug kit, because our patio faces south and the pavers are too hot for kid feet, and so my son never gets to play out there in the nice weather! With the Outdoor Rug he would get to frolic in the breeze (and maybe I would get to sip a lemonade ... a girl can dream!).
All Wrapped Up or Find a Face would jazz up the gray FLOR play area though, so they are my second favorites!

OMG, I've been dying to order FLOR for my son's retro style nursery since I mistakenly purchased an off-white area rug two years ago (first time mom, could you tell?) and it is now filthy! I have a playroom that would be complete with the happy face kit. Our guests would probably appreciate a rug in our entry, since it becomes as slick as an ice rink when wet. Many unsuspecting guests have taken a spill upon entering.

It's so hard to narrow it down...however I think that the Two of Hue in Cream is lovely.

Flor is my dream rug.
I love the happy face rug and the dots too!
But I think great for kids and parents is the Big Wooly Rug. It has class and a fun cozy texture...what more could one want? Okay, maybe a few extra hours sleep....perhaps a nap on the rug.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Big Wooly Rug Kit in Dorset Brown for my son's room! The style, color and everything about it would be perfect in his room which I just repainted a light gray blue color and I have brown draperies in there so this would match and make it look and feel fantastic!
