Teleflora’s Modern Mom

teleflora.jpgI’m honored to be among a handful of moms that Teleflora is featuring in advance of Mother’s Day. Check out the interview – I'm their Modern Mom – and also the other lovely moms they’re featuring. Also, Teleflora kindly offered to send me their Mother’s Day Butterfly Bouquet, but since I’m fortunate to receive flowers regularly from Jon, I thought I’d instead offer the bouquet to one of my awesome readers (enjoy it for yourself or send it to your mom!). To enter to win the bouquet (standard size), simply leave a comment below (by midnight 5/4) about something you’d love to have happen on Mother’s Day this year.

I am looking forward to wonderful BALANCE on Mother's Day...time with my husband and daughter, time alone, and time with hubby only.

Mother's Day will be special this year because my daughter has been traveling for an extended period of time and will be home just in time for Mother's Day. I'd love for us to share her awesome traveling experiences over supper.

i would love to sleep in and maybe have breakfast in bed

I would love to sleep past 7am this Mother's Day but even better would be healthy kids, all three are sick :(

I would love to get to sleep in and not have to think about meal planning or prep for a whole day!

I would LOVE for my wonderful mommy to get this bouquet! I just had surgery and she's been staying with me nursing me to health (and dealing with my two little ones!) Go mommy!! :D

I'd love to see my mom this year, but it's not going to happen. We live across the country from her. But, I do look forward to skyping with her!

Ordinarily I dream of a Day of Rest for Mother's Day - a day of staying in bed, watching Lifetime Movies, and maybe getting a pedicure. It's about as likely as winning the Mega Million lottery. I'd settle for an iphone. Ok, ok. How 'bout just some hugs and kisses from my guys (ages 36, 3 and 1)? (and perhaps a nice breakfast in bed...)

I'd love to see our IRS refund arrive by then to afford a nice dinner out and gift, otherwise it's hot dogs and hamburgers on the grill and movie night in the Miller house!

I would absolutely love to be able to sleep in for once. I might add that anytime after 5:30AM is sleeping in for me! :) Oh yeah, breakfast in bed would be nice too. :)

My wife and I have vowed to not buy anything new (besides some things like medicine or underwear) or non-local food for a year. That means that I can't buy fresh-cut flowers for her for Mother's Day. But gifts from other people are OK. So it would be great to win these flowers so she could enjoy their beauty while helping save the Earth.

breakfast in bed and some lovely cards from hus./son

This Mother's Day I'd love for my grandma to be well.

I would love to have a day off of cleaning up after my daughter and being able to sleep in!

i would love to have my family together for the day

I'd love for my little one to get over her cold so wecan have a picnic in the park for mothers day!

Hoping this mother's day all the kids who dont know what a mother's love is will find it in some way or the other.... And hope the good lord blesses woman who want a child so much because being a mother is the best thing that happened to me!

Mothers day will be special because I will celebrate it with my mother in law.

would love 2 hours of silence in the morning so I cen sleep in. Hopefully hubby will take kids out.

I would love to have flowers for mothers day. My mother passed and it was a tradition that I got them for her on mothers day so it would be a living tribute to all the happy days we had.

I would love to have all my grandchildren here for Mother's Day!! Thanks for the chance to win:)

I'd like Mom to be calm...and HAPPY!

I would love to have all of my siblings together to remember my mom who died in January.

I want a massage and for me not to have to wait on anyone for just 1 day!

hmm can it be they let me sleep in and take a bath with no fingers under the door or no tradegies for those 10 minutes

What a wonderful prize. I would love to send this to my Mom if I won.
What I would want most for Mothers Day, is to go out for dinner with my husband, kids and most of all my Mom and Dad. My Mom hasn't been able to go out for dinner for quite sometime now due to health reasons, but I'd really love it if she could. We will be spending the day with her, cooking at my Mom's and Dad's house for them, but it would be nice if we could all go out together.
Thanks so much and please enter me.

I would just love to enjoy the day with everyone I love. It doesn't have to be fancy!

orchestratenoise0726[at]yahoo[dot]com

I would love for my mom to visit me with kindness in her heart so we could sit down and have a heart to heart talk.

What a lucky woman you are to receive flowers on a regular basis!
My husband isn't romantic, but in most other ways, he is the best!
As far as this Mother's Day, I like to remember special women who have been a positive influence in my life, but have no children themselves. Many thanks, Cindi

I'd love my mom to put her feet up and relax! :)

I would love to sleep in and then have a nice dinner at home with my three kids and my Mom and Dad. Family time at home is still my favorite way to spend Mother's Day.

This is my mother's first Mother's Day alone in 50 years, so I hope she can be as happy as possible. I would like to take her out to eat, maybe go on a hike or to the beach, and just relax with my kids and me.

I would love to actually get to see my mom but that is not possible as she is 1500 miles away and I have to work.

I would love for the weather to be beautiful since we would like to cook out.

swine flu to go away

Every year I wish that my family would take me to my favorite local restaurant that does a huge Mother's Day buffet. It requires reservations and everyone seems to "forget" each year. Just one year, I'd love to go with all my children and my husband.

I wish my mom would be able to leave the nursing home and come over to my house for mothers day.

i would love for all mothers to have a nice relaxing day.

I'd really like for my boys to be with me, but unfortunately they live too far away. I'll be thinking of them, though.

Love to have the house cleaned

I would love for someone to clean the house!

I just hope that My mom., her Mom and myself are all healthy and happy on that day. That's what I want the most!

I'd love for our daughter to come over and tell us she's pregnant! Our first granddaughter is so precious, we're ready for the next one, and she seems ready too.

This will go to my mother. Something I'd like would be a drama free peaceful family visit.

I would love to fly home to Louisiana for the weekend to surprise my mom with a visit

I would love for my mother to have a wonderful day, free of physical ailments.

On May 15, I am going to meet my birth siblings. My birth mother has chosen not to meet me. I hope on Mother's Day, she has a change of heart.

I'd like to sleep in, and then go out for a nice dinner at a restaurant that evening.

I would like for the sun to be shining and to be able to spend the afternoon outside playing in the yard with my kids.

both sons come to visit as they always do or call if they cannot be with me. and see my grandson husband and daughter in law. mverno@roadrunner.com

We're expecting our second child in August, and I'd love to go to a spa that does prenatal treatments!

For me just a nice relaxing day!
Thanks for the opportunity!

The thing I would like to happen most on mother's day, is to find out that my husband who was layed off work in November, has a job offer. That would make me very happy.

I expect it will be a pretty quiet day, getting phone calls from my children, and maybe some of the grandchildren stopping in. Actually I just hope that the weather gets nicer, so that my son-in-law and grandson can finish putting in my new front steps!

i would love for my husband to take the baby the whole day so I can relax!

its my first mother's day being a mom! I still think of it as a day to honor my own mother. i havent any expectation... i just plan on celebrating having a healthy baby and mother!!!

i'd like a day of peace and quiet. a day where i didn't have to cook or go anywhere.

Would love to have all my family here for my Mothers Day and my birthday celebration,

What I'd like to have happen this Mother's Day? hmmmm - well, maybe a nice lobster dinner with my kids at that expensive seafood place? Yep! That's what I'd like to have happen! Of course, the butterfly bouquet would be great too! Thanks.

I would love a sunny day with my whole family here to enjoy it with me

I'd love to win flowers!

I'd just enjoy having my son (who lives next door) just say Happy Mother's Day since he usually forgets holidays!

I would just love one day of nobody fighting or making messes for me to clean up!

I'm going to be far-reaching and say that I wish that I could see my mom for Mother's Day. However, she lives in Korea, and neither I nor my sister have the money to take a quick trip out so soon.

im 9 months pregnant and i have a 14 month old. i might deliver on mothers day. ive just been so busy with both kids. no time for myself. i would love to win the flowers. they would really cheer me up especally if im in the delivery room.

I am hoping to get a new bike for Mother's Day.

v.chrzanowski@comcast.net

I'd love for my husband to make it home from his business trip in time to celebrate with us!

nothing happens (no politics, grievances, baggage, etc). just a nice family gathering to honor mothers.

I would love to have all my kids home for Mother's Day, especially my SIL who is in Iraq.

I would love for my daughter to do the cleaning and cooking for the day. That would be the best gift ever.

I would love for all of my kids to not scream, but that isn't gonna happen!

twincere[at]hotmail.com

I would love for my husband to get up with the kids, get them dressed, get them breakfast and take them out to play so I could sleep in. Wont happen, but I can dream - sigh.

I wish my kids will listen to me at least on this day!!

On mother's day this year I hope to open the door to some beautiful flowers from teleflora. I can't believe how long it's been since I received flowers. I'd also love it if the wee ones would let me sleep in.

to sleep in

My dad is more than 500 miles away taking care of his mom after she had a stroke. I would love for him to be able to return on Mother's Day, to be with my mom, who hasn't seen him in three months. They've been married for 42 years.

I'd love for Mother's Day to be a day my sister and I could get together with our boys. We hardly get to see each other anymore, so it would be nice to get together on Mother's Day and catch up/relax.

Dear Family, let me sleep in and don't have to worry aboutgetting up and feeding all the animals and getting your coffee ready and fixing breakfast for you all. love mom

I'm hoping to be able to sleep in and then have a sunny warm day with my family.

I would like some flowers, candy and relaxation!

I would love to be able to spend time with my mother who lives far away

I'd just like my husband to remember that it is Mothers Day--and maybe get me a card.

To walk along the lake and then for the family to make homemade ice cream sundays

I'd love to sleep later than 5am when my kids normally get up.

To have a picnic on the beach

I love that I will be able to go home for mother's day this year! So, I hope that nothing gets in my way!

just thrilled to have another day with mom thanks for the giveaway

I would love to have flowers. It's been a long time since I've received them. I have the perfect spot for a beautiful arrangement :o)

I wish that I could spend Mother's Day with all of my kids this year. I am heading across the country to attend my sister's college graduation and only bringing the baby with me. I didn't realize several months back that the Mother's Day and her graduation were going to be held on the same weekend and I am getting sad knowing that I will miss my first Mother's Day with my older kids (ages 11, 9 and 4). I wish that I could spend my special day with them!

It would be nice if my husband didn't wait until the last minute to get a card and a gift. I would love if just once he would do something that takes a little effort and thought.

I have been married for 24 yrs. flowers have escaped my huband, but i love them..please enter me.

To get a gift for Mother's Day. My girls are toddlers so they don't know and as wonderful as my Husband is (cleans the dishes, changes diapers, etc. all without prompting) he isn't romantic. Nothing extravagant, a card, maybe some perfume.

As a future step-mom, I would love for Paul and Sam to call me mom and give me flowers or a card to show me how much they love me!!!

Thank you for a great giveaway! I would love for my mom to come to church with me and be saved. That would be the ultimate mothers day gift for me is to know that my mom is saved and to know that I will see her in heaven some day.
tatertot374@sbcglobal.net

It would be the best mothers day ever if someone would show up with a bag of groceries- my foodstamp card won't get refilled until the 14th.

I'd love to spend this mother's day with my daughter but unfortunately she isn't due til June so she needs to stay in my belly a little while longer! :)

I would love to win this awesome giveaway for my mother-in-law. She is just amazing and so caring. Words cannot express what she means to my family and myself.

I would love for my mother to feel well enough to go out to dinner this Mother's Day. If she were, I'd take her anywhere she wanted to go.

I would love for my mother to get a bouquet of flowers for Mother's Day and not to fuss at me for "wasting" my money on flowers for her. Anything I get her she will fuss at me for "wasting" money on her. She has helped so much financially over the years I do feel guilty buying anything for her when she is fussing.

I'd love to see peace in Darfur!

Something I'd like to happen this year on Mother's Day is to win the lottery! I would love to buy my mom quite a few things.

I want my Mom to know how special she is to me!

I would love to see my mom, it has more than a year

I am happy as long as I have my family. I do not ask for much I love seeing my husband and daughter happy sometimes all I want is a little bathroom time by myself.

I would like my mom to just relax for once. Every year we try to make the day special for her, but she is so used to taking care of others that she doesn't know how to just sit back and let others do for her. I want her to understand that we really want to do for her what she does for her, at least one day out of the year.

I would love to be able to sleep in.

Breakfast in bed will be nice

For Mothers Day, I would like to be able to visit my Mom in person but I won't be able to travel. I would love to send her this Butterfly Bouquet, its such a pretty arrangement!

I would love a nice peaceful day with my family. No arguing, bickering, begging, crying, etc

I'm lucky hubby's hobby is cooking. I know he will cook me food, and I want it served to me on a tray in bed!!! I'll probably have the 4 kids surrounding me, sharing it, but it will be good.

This mom's day I want to be able to spend quality time with my family.

I'd love it if my mom's boyfriend would take her (and us) out to lunch and gets her an awesome mother's day present. (and he will) I think its great when the new guy in my mom's life can appreciate what an awesome mom she is, even if he didn't have kids with HER.

I would love to go out for brunch somewhere nice.

I hope to have a nice day with my girls - nothing exciting - just a day without fighting.

I am very fortunate that I have a son and husband that spoil me on Mothers Day - they do all the cooking and I get a special meal cooked by them! I would love for them both to be able to find jobs though.

I'd love for my husband and my kids to clean the house from top to bottom while I stay in bed & alternately nap & read!!!

I am looking foward to being with my both of my Children and seeing my Mom.

I would love it if all of my children were here at the same time.

For Mother's Day I would love 3 things, no cooking, no cleaning and no kids fighting!

A day where I can do whatever I want, where the phone doesn't ring and I don't have to speak to anyone or take care of any business

I would love for my husband to walk the dogs, feed the kids and let me read all day!

I'd love to have a nice meal and lots of talk with my husband, three grown children, their families, my mother, and my parents-in-law.

This year, Mother's Day and my mother's birthday fall on the same day.

I'd like to do something special to mark the day. Flowers are not in my budget so winning this lovely arrangement would be a treat.

I would love to have the family together again. We are spread out all across the country! Happy Moms Day to all!!

I would love for my mom to have an awesome Mother's Day this year. This year the holiday falls on the anniversary of her father's death, so she is a little sad this holiday, so I hope to cheer her up and plan a nice day for her. Thanks! Would love to have this bouquet sent to her.

I'd love to have found a job :-)

Thanks for the giveaway!

For Mother's Day, I want to enjoy my mom. It doesn't matter what we do, I just want to hang out with her and make sure she knows how loved she is.

This year, I'd love to have my family recognize what I actually do for them but we all know that's a hard sell!! If anyone would just do the dishes for me, it would melt my heart!

For mothers day - a day of smiles and laughter is all I need.

I would love for my mother to have a day where she isn't stressed out or worrying about anything. And hopefully where she knows how much she is loved.

I'd love to have my mom get this bouquet! She is a two time cancer survivor who has proven through strength, determination and grace that one can always beat the odds!

On Mothers Day, I would like to wake up naturally - no crashes, fighting kids, or telephone calls. That would be enough for me! But your flowers would be the icing on the cake :-)

I would love to have a meal cooked for me. I will go with some kind of pasta dish.

mercsmercado at yahoo dot com

I would love to have my hair done or my nails done, finances are tough so it would be nice to splurge once in a while. Thanks for giving me a chance to win.

What I would love on Mother's Day is to have BOTH my girls with me, plus our 2 Grandkids and their Dad, too. But that won't happen, and I am not sad about that. They are still young and living busy lives. I can certainly understand that. They call, and I appreciate the calls.

I would like to have a nice family dinner and a day without the kids arguing.

I'd like to actually spend time with MY mom instead of my mother-in-law!

My wonderful DIL just announced that she is pregnamt with a son What makes so very happy is that she is putting my maiden name as his middle name so my family name doesn't die out

It's going to be an exciting first Mother's Day for our Daughter as she has her first baby, after several late term miscarriges, that in itself will be awesome! I'd like to hear from my Son as he is fickle and sometimes I hear and than sometimes I don't.

I would love to arrive home from my mom's with a brand new washer and dryer already installed!
Thanks

My son lives a three-hour-drive away from me. I'd like to have him visit on Mother's Day. Since this is not always possible, he makes sure he calls AND sends a nice present. He never forgets.

To be with my family and kids

I would enjoy just spending time with my family.

I would love to wake up this Mother's Day and have the house CLEAN from top to bottom! Ok I can dream right? HAHA!

I would LOVE to see my mom, but she's 15 1/2 hours away. :( So, maybe I could send her a beautiful bouquet? Happy Mother's Day to all the amazing mamas!!!

I would love for my mother and I to spend the day together, shopping, taking in a movie, and going out for a nice dinner.

I'd love for my husband to arrange for a sitter so we could have a date night, nothing fancy, just dinner and a movie to take our minds off our worries.

I would love to have my kids get a long and a clean house.

I would love to have my mom here with me, but that will have to wait until two weeks after Mother's Day. Instead, I'd take sleeping in, yummy brunch (not necessarily in bed), and then an afternoon family nap. :)

I would like to sleep in and have someone else clean the house and do the dishes.

I would for my mother to have the best day she possibly can.

I wish my husband would acknowledge me as a "step" mother--we've been together for 14 years --he has 3 kids 14,17 & 18 and I adore them --but he doesn't acknowledge me for mother's day. Hurts!

A special gift would be to get word the cancer hubby has is operable, treatable, curable! A beautiful floral arrangement will add to the joy!

For Mother's Day, I would love to just have a nice quiet day at home with my family. Ideally, the kids will bring me breakfast in bed before I am starving....
