Year of the Rat

Happy Lunar New Year everyone! We hope you enjoy this collection of family friendly Chinese New Year festivities taking place over the next 10 days in Boston and the surrounding areas.

Feb. 7: Food, crafts, and stories at the Fox Branch of the Robbins Library in Arlington.

Feb. 8-10: Exhibits, stories, and a brushpainting demonstration at the Harvard Museum of Natural History (in addition to an exhibit on the Chinese zodiac, which runs until Feb. 24).

Feb. 10: Lion dance parade, crafts, and food in Harvard Square.

Feb. 16: Family day at the Peabody Essex Museum, including performances, art activities, workshops, and more.

Feb. 17: Chinatown Main Street Chinese New Year Festival at Phillips Square in Boston.

Feb. 17: Music, dance, and crafts at the Boston Children’s Museum.
