Unleash the Creative Beast
I firmly believe that everyone’s got a little creativity at their core, and sometimes all that’s needed to unleash the creative beast is the right canvas. And for those who love hosting parties but need a little help figuring out how to personalize the details, there’s Garnish, purveyor of cool party and gift packaging ideas that will keep your guests coming back for more. Reader Catherine from Thunder Bay, Ontario wrote in about Garnish, where you can use the Bits & Pieces line as a springboard for inspiration, or just go ahead and borrow one of their stylish themed ideas. We love that you can order specific quantities, and that they’ve done the hard work of tracking down the materials so you can get right to the fun of personalizing the look.
Want to win the Garnish goods for a party for 10*? Here’s how:
*The winner will receive 10 sets of the goods to create their choice of either: Children’s Party Table, Play Dough To Go, or Girl's Night In! And as an extra bonus, Garnish is offering to personalize the winner’s product set via custom labels! (Estimated value with customization ~$75-125 depending on selected kit.)
And for those who wish to shop now, Garnish is offering a 10% discount to readers using the code BOSTONMAMAS (expires 2/29/08).

Wow, I love the Gingerbread House Party idea! Even though Christmas is long gone that party idea makes me want to host a gingerbread house building party now! :-) Definitely will keep this in mind later this year!

Just love Girl's Night In
Our playgroup recently split off to include fun thing to do for us girls, at night, sans kiddos. For instance, book club! We just finished reading P.S. I Love You, plenty of falling back on your girlfriends included in that one. What a great way to tie in one theme from the current read, and also spice up book club a little!

Oh, I would love to win the Children's Party Table! My BFF's son is disabled and it's hard to attract other kids to play with him. This unique party set-up might just make his birthday party this year memorable and fun enough to get the kids to return for more, and get to know what a sweet kid he is; worthwhile of their time. Thanks!

My favorite is the Children's Party Table! There are so many possibilities using the clear tubes! The children could even decorate their own boxes to make them unique! The craft paper would definitely keep them busy, because children love to "doodle". The paper snow cones could be filled with the same or different items. This theme is my absolute favorite!
