Tiny Revolutionary

Laurel recently declared that she "wants to wedding" her preschool BFFs (both girls). No doubt the son of one of my mama pals will be crestfallen if this transpires, but if Laurel does decide to start a same sex family some day, I’ll happily direct her to the progressive designs by Tiny Revolutionary.
Launched last month, Tiny Revolutionary’s collection includes tees and onesies (infant through 4T) that celebrate modern family configurations (e.g., same sex parents, families with adopted children), and make pointed yet playful statements about issues such as the environment, animal rights, and war. Their hip, colorful designs – such as Two Mommies, One Love (shown; $23 tee) – are printed on sweatshop-free, super soft, Pima cotton. This forward thinking company also works towards change by donating $1 per item purchased to children's charities.

Aww, those are so cute! I should get one for my eldest and his friend (also both boys) who are currently having a love/hate affair. The friend likes all things girl-ish. Gabe is not so interested in that, but mentioned the other nite that he just didn't know *who* he should marry, and wondered if boys could marry boys. I said yes they could (in Canada they currently can), and he wondered if he should marry Nathan. Mostly I focused on the fact that he doesn't have to decide now (he's 5 1/2 and gets surprisingly anxious about stuff like this), but that he's free to make a family with whomever he likes. Sometimes, parenting is so fun!
