I’m trying not to make too much of the fact that during a recent pumpkin picking excursion Laurel explicitly selected “tall pumpkin” for herself, “skinny pumpkin” for Auntie Sha-Sha, and “chubby pumpkin” for mom.

At the very least, this seems like the right segue to share the results of a baking obsession from last fall. During a quest for the perfect pumpkin muffin I wasn't completely satisfied with what the stores and bakeries had to offer.
